Fifty years ago, in Madurai, South India, a local group of philanthropic volunteers proposed to build a home for orphaned and destitute children.
This is the story of Balar Illam, or "a home for children."
At Balar Illam, it is our vision and mission to provide a home for orphaned and destitute girls and boys. We are committed to giving them a happy childhood by surrounding them with a loving and nurturing environment.
